Pediatric Chiropractic in Klamath Falls

Doctor adjusting boy's neckPeople often wonder why a baby or child would need chiropractic care—there are many reasons! To begin with, birth is physically traumatic for babies. Even in a birth free of interventions, there is significant pressure on an infant’s tiny body. As kids grow into toddlerhood, they are falling and bumping into things daily.

Their bodies compensate for those traumas, and small children don’t express pain in the same way we do as adults, so the effects of these traumas show up in different ways.

At Affinity Chiropractic, we have over 15 years’ experience providing safe, gentle care to help kids recover from these childhood traumas, so they can function their best, on into adulthood.

Detective Work

Dr. Jane has extensive training in pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and she is adept at looking for clues whether a child has tension in the spine that is causing joint mobility issues. Some clues include posture, gait and behaviors. Such behaviors include how sound a child sleeps, how well they digest their food, and whether they tilt their head to one side.

These clues will give Dr. Jane a good idea of what’s going on, and she’ll talk with you about your concerns and goals for your child’s care. Based on these and her examination, she’ll develop a care plan tailored for your child.

Our Techniques

For newborns and infants, Dr. Jane offers a sustained hold technique, which involves just the pressure you might use to check a peach for ripeness. From toddlers on up, she typically uses Activator Methods®, a safe, gentle instrument-assisted adjusting technique.

Her goal is to restore normal range of motion to help with posture, movement ability, and optimal neurology, which can help prevent the development of issues later in life.

Get Started Today

Dr. Jane is a mom herself, and she knows how to put kids at ease. And if a child says no to being adjusted, she honors that.
